Lahore Church Blasts: Taliban bombers blew up on entrance; security prevented ...  The Indian Express - ‎16 Maret 2015‎

Good thing Iran is all moderate and cuddly now, or Iranian Christians would have it even worse.

"Iranian Christians Hit with a Wave of Arrests during Christmas," from Mohabat News, January 13 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
As Open Doors International released its annual World Watch List for 2013, the arrest of Iranian Christian converts during the Christmas period increased. In the 2013 World Watch List published by Open Doors, Iran is placed among the first 10 countries where Christians are persecuted the most.
According to Mohabat News, on December 31, 2013, Iranian security authorities arrested four Christian converts by the names of "Sara Rahimi-Nejad, Mostafa Nadri, Majid Sheidaei, and George Isaian" in Karaj.
According to a report by the Human Right Activists in Iran, these Christians had gathered in Isaian's residence to celebrate the New Year when plain-clothes security authorities raided the home, beat and arrested them. The authorities immediately transferred them to an unknown location.
The report added, the authorities searched Mr. Isaian's house and all the guests. They seized some of their belongings including books, personal notes, computers, CDs and DVDs, Satellite TV receiver, and even their family photo albums.
The families of these Christian detainees were turned away when they went to Evin prison and to the Intelligence police to inquire about them.
One occasion when pressure on the Iranian Christian community intensifies is during Christmas and New Year. Every year near Christmas, Iranian authorities raid Christmas and New Year house church services/gatherings and arrest those worshiping and celebrating the birth of Jesus.
It should be remembered that in the last few weeks, during Christmas, another group of Christian converts had been arrested. Those arrested were Faegheh Nasrollahi, Mastaneh Rastegari, Amir-Hossein Nematollahi, Ahmad Bazyar, and Mr. Hosseini. They had gathered in a house church in eastern Tehran when they were arrested.
Reports on Christian persecution in Iran also indicated that the Revolutionary Court in Karaj sentenced Hossein Saketi Aramsari to one year in prison. He is currently being held in ward 7 of Karaj Central prison.
A few former Christian prisoners told Mohabat News in an interview, "We were both directly and indirectly pressured to make false confessions regarding our relationship with foreign countries. They wanted us to confess that we receive money to promote Christianity in the country".
The Islamic regime of Iran is seriously concerned over the spread of Christianity across the country and does its best to counteract it....
A desperately insecure culture -- as we frequently see in the behavior of Islamic supremacists stateside.

Islamic jihadists in Nigeria are murdering people wholesale in obedience to commands to wage war against Infidels that they read in the Qur'an and Hadith. The world "human rights community" yawns and looks the other way, because in their paradigm, the perpetrators of these atrocities cannot be anything but victims.
"Boko Haram militants burn church, legislator’s house in Borno," by Maina Maina in the Daily Post, January 11:
Gunmen suspected to be members of the dreaded Islamic militants, Boko Haram have burnt down a church and a house of a National Assembly member, Hon. Peter Biye.
DailyPost learnt that they carried out the attack on Friday in Gwoza town of Gwoza Local Government council of Borno State.
Biye, who is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) representing Damboa, Chibok and Gwoza federal constituency disclosed that a church, located close to his house was not spared by the assailants.
Speaking to DailyPost on Friday, the legislator said when the assailants stormed his house at Bzuba village along Gwoza Pulka road at night on Wednesday, they carted away over 70 domestic animals before setting the building on fire.
He said about three weeks before the incident, he had raised alarm on the need for military authorities to intensify security in the area but nothing was done.
“While in the house, the attackers burnt a consignment of sorghum which was meant for distribution to our people to cushion their hardships.
“They also burnt 30,000 pieces of exercise books, 30,000 packets of biro and 30,000 packets of chalk which I bought for distribution to schools in my constituency....

As Muhammad Atta told the passengers on his flight, "Stay quiet and you'll be OK." "Rajshahi: Islamists kill young Catholic who complained about anti-Christian violence," by Sumon Corraya forAsia News, January 13 (thanks to C. Cantoni):
Dhaka (AsiaNews) - Islamists murdered Ovidio Marandy, a young ethnic Santhal Catholic man, last Saturday in Gobindoganj, Gaibandha district (northern Bangladesh). His funeral was held today in the Beneedwar parish church.
A native of Beneedwar Parish (Diocese of Rajshahi), the young man was the younger brother of Fr Samson Marandy, a Catholic priest in the Diocese of Dinajpur.
According to his brother and other family members, Muslim radicals wanted to punish the young man, a well-known figure in the local Catholic community, because he had recently organised a demonstration in his village against Islamist violence.
On 5 January, hundreds of Islamic extremists stormed the homes of Christians in the dioceses of Rajshahi and Mymensigh because they had voted in the general election.
"Ovidio was very brave, and was famous in his community. We are shocked by what happened," said Fr Proshanto Gomes, a local priest. "Christians have the right to vote. Why are Islamists attacking us? We want peace."

They are working from the dictates of the Qur'an and Islamic law: "When you meet the unbelievers, smite their necks, then, when you have made wide slaughter among them, tie fast the bonds; then set them free, either by grace or ransom, till the war lays down its loads." -- Qur'an 47:4
"As for the captives, the amir [ruler] has the choice of taking the most beneficial action of four possibilities: the first to put them to death by cutting their necks; the second, to enslave them and apply the laws of slavery regarding their sale and manumission; the third, to ransom them in exchange for goods or prisoners; and fourth, to show favor to them and pardon them. Allah, may he be exalted, says, 'When you encounter those [infidels] who deny [the Truth=Islam] then strike [their] necks' (Qur'an sura 47, verse 4)" — Abu’l-Hasan al-Mawardi, al-Ahkam as-Sultaniyyah (The Laws of Islamic Governance), trans. by Dr. Asadullah Yate, (London), Ta-Ha Publishers Ltd., 1996, p. 192.
"Syria: Abducted Italian Jesuit priest 'held in Al-Qaeda jail,'" fromAKI, January 7:
London, 7 January (AKI) - An Italian Jesuit priest who vanished in northern Syria last year, Paolo Dall'Oglio is detained in a prison run by Al-Qaeda's Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS), pan-Arab daily Al-Hayat reports.
Dall'Oglio, who disappeared in the northern Syrian city of Raqqa on 28 July last year, is being held in Sed Tishreen jail located in the surrounding province, the daily cited activists as saying on Tuesday.
There are currently "highly delicate" negotiations talking place between Syrian rebels and jihadists from ISIS for control of the prison, where Dall'Oglio and other prisoners including French journalists are being held, according to the activists.
The Western-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) and the jihadist Al-Nusra Front have removed barriers erected around Sed Tishreen by their former ISIS allies between Raqqa province and the Turkish border, the activists claimed.
"The nex [sic] step should be to take control of Sed Tishreen, which is in ISIS hands, avoiding an assult [sic] in order to ensure the safety of its high-profile prisoners, the activists were quoted as telling Al-Hayat.
On Monday, the UK-based Syrian Human Right Observatory monitoring group reported that FSA fighters had ousted ISIS from Raqqa, freeing more than 50 hostages in a fourth day of clashes across the north of the country.
Raqqa become an ISIS stronghold after rebels overran the city in March last year. It was the first provincial capital to fall under rebel control.
Scores of captives, among them journalists and aid workers, had reportedly been detained by ISIS in government buildings. Those freed on Monday appeared to all be Syrians. It is understood that the western captives had earlier been moved to another location.
Conflicting reports have deepened the mystery surrounding Dall'Oglio's fate. In October, an opposition activist told Adnkronos International (AKI) the priest was alive and was being well treated by his ISIS captors.
Earlier, the Vatican and the Italian government said in August they could not confirm a report by a pro-Syrian-government website that the priest had been executed by his captors.

Shhh! "Talk about extreme, militant Islamists and the atrocities that they have perpetrated globally might undercut the positive achievements that we Catholics have attained in our inter-religious dialogue with devout Muslims." -- Robert McManus, Roman Catholic Bishop of Worcester, Massachusetts, February 8, 2013
"Gunmen kill 30 in central Nigerian village attack," from Reuters, January 6 (thanks to Lookmann):
JOS, Nigeria (Reuters) - Gunmen killed 30 people in a village in central Nigeria on Monday, officials said, in a religiously-mixed region with a long history of ethnic and communal violence.
Violence in central Nigeria is frequently fuelled by long-running land disputes between semi-nomadic communities like the Muslim Fulani and farming settlers includingmainly Christian Berom, both often armed with automatic weapons.
Gunmen stormed the majority-Berom Shonong village in the Riyom local government area in the early hours, opening fire on residents and torching dozens of houses to the ground, a member of the state house of assembly Daniel Dem told Reuters.
A spokesman for the local military confirmed the attack, but said it was too early to give a death toll.
Thousands have been killed in the last three years in tit-for-tat clashes between rival ethnic groups in the "Middle Belt", where the largely Christian south meets the mostly Muslim north in Africa's most populous nation.
Such battles, far from economic centers or oilfields in Africa's second-biggest economy and top oil producer, are largely ignored by central government, rights groups say.

Shhh! We do not speak of such things! "Armenian reportedly killed in Syria for rejecting conversion to Islam,", January 9:

As Arabic-language website reports, the man was killed by members of al Qaeda-linked Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant in one of Aleppo prisons controlled by the group.

"Survey: Reported Christian 'martyr' deaths doubled in 2013," from Reuters, January 8:
LONDON -- Reported cases of Christians killed for their faith around the world doubled in 2013 from the year before, with Syria accounting for more than the whole global total in 2012, according to an annual survey.
Open Doors, a non-denominational group supporting persecuted Christians worldwide, said on Wednesday it had documented 2,123 "martyr" killings, compared with 1,201 in 2012. There were 1,213 such deaths in Syria alone last year, it said.
"This is a very minimal count based on what has been reported in the media and we can confirm," said Frans Veerman, head of research for Open Doors. Estimates by other Christian groups put the annual figure as high as 8,000.
The Open Doors report placed North Korea at the top of its list of 50 most dangerous countries for Christians, a position it has held since the annual survey began 12 years ago. Somalia, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan were the next four in line.
The United States-based group reported increasing violence against Christians in Africa and said radical Muslims were the main source of persecution in 36 countries on its list.
"Islamist extremism is the worst persecutor of the worldwide church," it said....

Somalia: Al Shabab bans Internet -- those who don't comply "will be dealt with in accordance with Islamic law"  Miscreants who get online will be "dealt with in accordance with Islamic law." That means they'll be showered with peace, love and tolerance, right?
"Somalia’s al-Shabab militia bans Internet," by Sudarsan Raghavan for the Washington Post, January 9:
NAIROBI — In recent years, Somalia’s al-Shabab militia has banned smoking, playing soccer, watching movies, wearing bras, anything it deemed Western. Now, the al-Qaeda-linked group has targeted something else common in most of the rest of the world: the Internet.
In a statement — published on the Internet, of course — the militia said it has disallowed the use of the Internet in areas it controls and gave 15 days for telecommunications operations to comply. To those who refuse, the militia vowed retaliatory measures.

Colorado Muslima, convert to Islam, gets eight years prison dawah for role in plot to murder Muhammad cartoonist  JamiePaulinRamirez.jpeg
(Reuters) - A Colorado woman who converted to Islam and went to Ireland to join a man she believed was training for terrorist operations was sentenced to eight years in prison Wednesday.
Jamie Paulin Ramirez, 35, pleaded guilty in a federal court in Philadelphia to providing material support to terrorists.
She was nicknamed "Jihad Jamie" by the media following her 2010 arrest because she had joined a group in Ireland that included another American-born, white-skinned, blonde-haired woman, Colleen LaRose, who called herself "Jihad Jane."
The two women were lured to Europe by Islamist extremists who hoped to use their appearance and U.S. passports to carry out violent attacks, prosecutors said.
LaRose was sentenced to 10 years in prison Monday for her role in an al Qaeda-linked plot to kill a Swedish artist who had offended Muslims by portraying the head of the prophet Mohammad on the body of a dog. Ramirez was not implicated in that plot but pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of providing material support to terrorists.

Bangladesh: Muslims hack Hindus to death, loot and torch Hindu homes for voting

Orang Islam mengejar, merampok, membakar rumah dan membunuh orang Hindu di Bangladesh.

Horror follows horror in quick succession, and the world yawns, because the perpetrators are Muslims inspired by the Qur'an and Muhammad, and so to take notice of this would be "Islamophobic."
"Obhoynagar reminds of ’71 horrors," by Emran Hossain for the Dhaka Tribune, January 7 (thanks to Pamela Geller):
Kalidasi Sarker jumped into the Bhairab River in the afternoon of the polling day with her 15-day-old baby. The 30-year-old mother must hold the baby above water while swimming across the 50m wide river, which too, she knew, she must.
About 100 people had to jump into the river that afternoon as they were chased by activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir, all equipped with firearms, crude bombs, machetes, iron rods and sticks.
Their only fault – they are Hindus and many of them had cast votes in the just concluded 10th national election.
